Family Worker, Contact Swindon
Job specification
Based within the Children and Families Contact Swindon, integrated front door. The Family Worker works with families to coordinate support, offer advice and signposting and liaise with families over the telephone identifying support and strengths within their family, friends and community in line with Right Help at the Right Time Guidance.
The Family Worker works with families who are at the heart of decision making about themselves and the voice of family members and children is crucial in developing plans and provision required for the children. At all times our aim is to support families to help themselves be the best that they can now and into the future.
Your next role
To succeed in this role, you will need demonstrable experience of working with and providing support to children, young people and their families. You will be creative and motivational, able to make positive relationships with families with a solution focused mindset. You will also need resilience and the ability to manage your time well and the ability to prioritise your work.
You will need to be flexible with working hours that fit around the needs of the family.
An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for this position.
You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).
