Joining Swindon Borough Council as an Applications Technical Support Consultant working in the Enabling Information & Technology team is your chance to make a significant difference and be part of something exciting.

Your next role

As an Applications Technical Support Consultant, a key part of this role will be enabling Swindon Borough Council to realise the technical benefits of the use of Microsoft 365. You will need to demonstrate strong technical expertise, proven experience with Microsoft 365, and well-developed analytical skills. 

There will be a requirement to work closely with the business stakeholders and other members of the IT team.  So strong cross-functional collaboration skills are a must.

If you feel your ambition is a match for this exciting role, you have solid experience getting results with Microsoft Office applications and you have experience of the following, then we would love to hear from you, the following skills and experience will be required.

  • M365 Administration
  • SharePoint Online 
  • Migration of data using ShareGate would be advantageous
  • MS Power Platform (PowerAutomate, PowerApps, PowerBI)
  • Advanced knowledge of the M365 application suite especially Word and Excel
  • Experience of working with SQL Server or other database management systems would be beneficial

You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act – for the effective performance of a customer-facing role).
