Service Lead, Parking

You are a Local Authority Parking Services expert who will bring your experience managing a Parking Services function for a council where we put Swindon and its people at the heart of everything we do.
Your knowledge as a parking subject matter expert in a Local Authority setting alongside your excellent management, communication and analytical skills makes you our ideal candidate. So too is your commitment to Local Authority excellence.
Your next role
This is a high-impact role where you’ll be responsible for the strategic development, day-to-day management, and ongoing improvement of the Council’s parking operations. You’ll work closely with internal teams, external contractors, and key stakeholders to ensure services are compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with legislative and policy frameworks.
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
- Strong knowledge of parking strategy, enforcement, and associated legislation.
- Proven experience in contract management and service procurement.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Experience in managing IT systems and assets within a regulatory or public sector environment is highly desirable.
You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).
