An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Allocations Officer in a council where we pride ourselves on delivering the most complete housing service possible to the people of Swindon.

Your next role

We are looking for a pro-active, organised and reliable person who will be part of a team responsible for the assessment of housing applications in line with Swindon’s Housing Allocations Policy.

You will provide specialist advice and support to customers on the Choice Based Lettings system and assist vulnerable groups with accessing our service.

As an Allocations Officer, you will not only manage the assessment process on a day-to-day basis, but will also be pivotal in supporting with the development of the service.

You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).
