We currently have the opportunity available to for a Level 3 Business & Administration Apprentice to join our team. This will involve 4 days ‘on the job’, working within the SEND Service to support with service delivery, with your 5th day being dedicated to completing your apprenticeship qualification.

Your next role

As an apprentice, you would not be expected to have any specialist knowledge around SEND, or working within a professional environment – however the desire to learn is essential. Swindon Borough Council is committed to supporting young people to develop their skills, and are keen to support individuals in taking their next steps into a lifelong career.

This role will focus on a range of different tasks, such as administration of a shared inbox, supporting with quality assurance processes, project based-work, as well as general administrative tasks.

Alongside ‘on the job’ work within the SEND Service, you’ll also be undertaking a Level 3 Business and Administration Apprenticeship with New College Swindon. This will require you to undertake written assignments, end of programme exams, as well as a project resulting in a formal presentation.

A successful candidate will be comfortable communicating both written and verbally, will have an eye for detail, and be able to follow processes.

You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).
