Working as the Head of our team, you will play a key part in providing strategic leadership, management, and development of the Internal Audit and Corporate Fraud team.
Your authority and support will be instrumental in allowing clients to achieve their objectives effectively and benefit the communities throughout the borough, to make a positive difference.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including Members, Corporate Directors and other senior managers. You will work with the team to uphold our well respected and valued service using a range of modern audit techniques.
About you
We are looking for an individual with a proven track record of delivering continuous improvement and positive change within an internal audit setting and across a complex and multi-faceted organisation. As Head of Internal Audit and Corporate Fraud you will be a key member of our service leadership team, you should be someone who can work effectively across the organisation to ensure the Council meets the ambitious commitments we have made.
This is a varied role and no two days are the same. We are looking for a bright, forward thinking and motivated individual who is able to work to deadlines.
Candidates must be professionally qualified CCAB or IIA, and fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act – for the effective performance of a customer-facing role).
