Based within the Locality Early Intervention Teams the Inclusion and Outreach Officer works with families to complete assessments and reviews, identifying support and strengths within their family, friends and community in line with the short breaks policy.
The Inclusion and Outreach Officer would work with families who are at the heart of decision making about themselves and the voice of family members and children is crucial in developing plans and provision required for the children. At all times our aim is to support families to help themselves be the best that they can now and into the future.
Your next role
To succeed in this role you will need demonstrable experience of working with and providing support to children, young people and their families, particularly where children have disabilities or Special Educational Needs. You will be creative and motivational, able to make positive relationships with families with a solution focused mindset. You will also need resilience and the ability to manage your time well and the ability to prioritise your work.
You will need to be flexible with working hours that fit around the needs of the family.
An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for this position.
You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).
