Child Exploitation Analyst

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Integrated Adolescent Service at Swindon Borough Council; you will be part of the Opal Team who support children and their families who are at risk of harm outside the home. This post is a collaboration between Swindon Borough Council and Wiltshire Police. The role will contribute to the partnership working in Swindon to continue to safeguard and promote the welfare of children in Swindon.
Your next role
We require a great analyst who can map and analyse risk to children and young people in Swindon. They will have the ability to bring the data to life turning it into insight which informs Swindon partnership working that will help us to reduce risk. The successful candidate will;
- Be skilled at presenting the findings to a range of audiences in a clear and accessible way
- Have excellent IT skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint etc.
- Have excellent communication and co-working skills
- Be confident in contributing to and sharing information in large multi-agency meetings
- Be creative and innovative
- An understanding of child exploitation and the issues around this would be desirable
- Providing performance data reports and analysing and presenting reports
You will be working with a wide range of professionals to develop and deliver this project, to do this you will need to prove you can manage projects effectively to meet deadlines. Communication skills are vital to this role and you will have proven experience of building relationships and communicating with a range of colleagues and partners. You will need to be confident in working across organisational boundaries, which will include the council, police, health and the youth justice service. You will need to demonstrate experience of data analysis.
You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).
