We have exciting opportunities within Swindon Borough Council’s Operations team for an experienced Planned, Cyclical and Estates Maintenance Officer.

Your next role

The role will be preparing contract documentation, and specification in line with the project brief. Determining the methodology for delivery to ensure best value is achieved for our residents. Other responsibilities include:

  • Ensure effective project management and contract administration of the works including chairing progress meetings with contractors and review and reporting project KPI’s to the delivery manager
  • Undertaking project feasibility studies and advising on initial costs
  • Preparing detailed design and specification information
  • Ensure all construction work is carried out in accordance with the latest Health and Safety, and Construction Design and Management Regulations
  • Budget monitoring. Producing project cost reports and reporting to the delivery manager. Payment of invoices
  • Monitoring of contractors progress and quality of works including detailed sign offs.

About You

  • Track record of project delivery within housing properties
  • A good communicator with customers and stakeholders
  • Basic knowledge/ understand of Microsoft Excel and Projects
  • Full driving licence

You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).
