Experience with disabled facilities grants is welcomed but not essential and you will have an opportunity to develop your knowledge in these areas. As this role is customer-facing, we will discuss the right combination of home and office-based working for you and the service. You may occasionally need to work within the borough on some evenings or weekends to meet the needs of the service.

You will need strong negotiation and collaboration skills and knowledge of private sector housing legislation and environmental health more generally.  You will have a certificate of competency in HHSRS and/or have experience of assessing for hazards and surveying housing conditions.

You will possess excellent people skills allied with the proven ability to listen, explain, negotiate and influence.  You will have a track record of good performance in a busy environment.
