Employment Advisor
Job specification
We are looking for an enthusiastic, resilient Employment Advisor based at various locations in Swindon Borough Council.
This is part of DFN Project Search which is an international initiative designed to support young people with learning disabilities and autism into paid employment. Just 4.8% of adults with a learning disability in the UK are currently in permanent paid employment.
Your role
You will work alongside the onsite Tutor from New College Swindon to support the interns in their lessons. You will also support the students through all aspects of their internships.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Travel training
- Learning specific job roles and training the interns
- Creating resources such as visuals to support the students in their job roles
- Liaising with host departments and managers within the SBC who manage the facilities.
- Undertaking bespoke CPD from Project Search
You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).
