We know that collectively, we are facing one of our most challenging and demanding times in recent history. Now more than ever, we need experienced social workers across both our Children’s and Adult services teams, to continue to make a difference to our most vulnerable residents.

If you are a social worker looking for the next move in your career or are looking to return to the frontline during this time, we would love to hear from you.

We are a progressive, ambitious Council with a focus on developing, strengthening and transforming our valued social work teams to provide the best possible service to our residents.

Our social care teams have stepped up to the challenge during these unprecedented times, in Adult Services, we have implemented a fully integrated Discharge to Assess model in just 10 days, whilst working virtually.

In Children’s Services, we continue at pace, putting the voice of the child at the heart of everything we do, whilst we also continue to prepare for the implementation of the Family Safeguarding Model bringing new ways of working with families and our colleagues.

Unlike many local authorities, across both Children’s and Adults, we have senior managerial roles in post purely dedicated to practice and development.

Help us continue to support, strengthen and transform our social care services through this time and beyond, whilst we continue to support and develop you.

To be eligible you need to be registered with Social Work England.
