We now have an excellent opportunity for a Performance Analyst to join our small and friendly Corporate Performance Team - with the chance to progress, shape and challenge our service.
About the role
In this key position you will carry out processing of data and data analysis for the Troubled Families programme, compile statistics and complete performance analysis work for the borough’s Restorative Youth Services, and give Analyst support to teams in the Children’s Services directorate. You will also provide data and statistical information to staff, senior managers and elected members, as well as to Government departments.
Working as part of the Performance, Intelligence and Insight team, you will contribute to the development of performance analysis to meet changing business requirements. The Performance, Intelligence and Insight team is small team that is passionate about getting the most insight from our data. You’ll get the opportunity to learn a range of skills in data analysis and presentation and see how data is used in action across a wide range of Council services.

This role is 37 hours per week but we operate an agile working policy, allowing you to manage your own diary and work flexibly, including off-site/remote working. The appointment will be on a fixed-term basis to 31/3/2021, with the possibility of continuation thereafter, subject to Government funding.
You’ll have a fascination with data, backed by experience of working in a data analysis role, and knowledge of how data analysis can be used to measure performance and help services improve.
Educated to ‘A’ level or with equivalent experience, you’ll have experience of data analysis work and strong Microsoft Excel skills. In addition you will have an eye for detail with a strong customer service focus. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills will ensure that our service standards remain high.
You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act – for the effective performance of a customer-facing role).
