Family Worker – Early Intervention Youth and Community Team
Job specification
The Locality Early Intervention Teams generally aim to complete interventions with families within 12 weeks of the completion of the Early Help Assessment, identifying support and strengths within their family, friends and community networks to turn to when they face challenges, reducing the need for external professional involvement.
The intervention is whole family-led, meaning that families are at the heart of decision making about themselves and the voice of family members and children is crucial in developing outcome focussed plans for the children. At all times our aim is to support families to help themselves be the best that they can now and into the future.
There are three Locality Early Intervention Teams providing an early intervention specialism and informed response within local community areas to build strong long-lasting relationships with community services so that children and their families will receive a timely local response to need reducing the likelihood of escalation to statutory children’s services or CAMHS.
