The Community Safety Team within Swindon Borough Council currently has one Community Safety Apprentice opportunity available for enthusiastic people who are keen to get started in their Community Safety career.
Swindon Borough Council works very closely with other statutory agencies within the Community Safety Partnership to collectively reduce crime and anti-social within the Borough for the communities we serve. If you’re interested in making a real contribution in working towards this aim, this maybe the role for you.
Your next role
As an apprentice you will be given the opportunity to learn and develop valuable skills such as customer service; team working; time management; decision making; working with information and administration.
You will also gain a Level 4 ASB & Community Safety Officer Apprenticeship qualification on completion of the 24-month course - a great starting point for a career in Community Safety.
Working with our ASB officers to respond to reports from members of the public regarding anti-social behaviour complaints, supporting witnesses and assisting with taking necessary enforcement action for perpetrators. You will also be working with other statutory agencies such as the Police. This role would suit an individual who enjoys problem solving and working with the public.
With your knowledge of IT skills, good communication, to work independently, demonstrate initiative by taking responsibility and a real passion to learn, makes you our ideal candidate.
You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).
