Swindon Borough Council is developing a modern, effective and efficient end-to-end Technology Enabled Care (TEC) service that enables individuals to use TEC to live as independently as possible, for as long as possible. See our full vision here.
Your next role
We are seeking an experienced manager with, emotional intelligence, strong leadership skills and a collaborative style.
With the ability to lead and motivate others, you will support the design of this new TEC service whilst leading on service improvement activities in the existing community alarms service. You will lead on the co-design and implementation of the service improvement plan, improving data capture and insights as well as putting in place processes to share case studies and tell stories about the impact of the service. You will be motivated by the difference the service will make to the lives of individuals and have a keen eye for what data is required to enhance business as usual management as well as service improvement.
The development of the TEC service will also involve the setting up of a Living Lab (a real-life demonstration environment for the technology) as well as developing and implementing income generating opportunities. Working within the Adult services directorate you will lead on embedding the existing community alarms Service and the new TEC Service into the Adults directorate to maximising the awareness and utilisation of technology.
Given the levels of change in this area, you must have demonstrable evidence of change and people management. You must be able to bring people on the journey whilst also getting things done to a high standard and in a timely way.

The nature of the role will require you to work onsite at least 4 days a week based at the Civic Campus in Swindon.
You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).
