You will support the management of a team responsible for rent and arrears collection, tenancy and estate management. You will also be responsible for dealing with more complex nuisance and anti-social behaviour and work closely with external agencies as well as our tenants.
This is a demanding role therefore resilience, flexibility and the ability to work under a degree of pressure is key. Excellent computer and record keeping skills are essential and you will also need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative and within a team.
You should have a minimum of grade C in Maths and English at GCSE level or equivalent, and have or be working towards at least a HNC qualification in Housing or equivalent related qualification. You will need to have experience of working in social housing, including tenancy services/estate management and preferably be a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing.
At times you will be required to work evenings and/or Saturday mornings. You must have the ability to travel throughout the Borough, plus an enhanced DBS disclosure will be required. You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act – for the effective performance of a customer-facing role).
