The Bridges Team is responsible for around four hundred highway structures and numerous other corporate bridge assets and Multi-Storey Car Parks. We are seeking an Engineer to work in the Asset Team to assist in the management of these assets along with development and delivery of reactive and planned maintenance works. This is an opportunity to make your mark and develop existing or new expertise within the Bridges Team.
The Asset team plays an important role in helping to shape the future of Swindon’s infrastructure and provides valuable contributions to corporate regeneration schemes and new development areas. As a member of the bridges team you will help ensure our bridge assets meet the standards required for a modern effective network.
Educated to degree level or equivalent in a related engineering discipline, you are experienced in all aspects of bridge management, design, assessment, inspection, and maintenance and construction supervision.
Your background will enable you to confidently carry out your duties and take responsibility for delivering asset management functions including the delivery of annual Revenue and Capital maintenance works. There will be opportunities for further training, to develop Asset Management skills and study for an Asset Management qualification. The qualification will be subject to signing a qualification training agreement.
