The Highways Design team is responsible for the delivery of the design and supervision of routine maintenance on the Highway including drainage works and major projects ranging from minor improvements to large infrastructure implementation. The Council have secured substantial funding grants to deliver major improvements over the next five years and the Maintenance team will be part of that delivery.

Your next role
What this means for you is an unrivalled chance to make your mark. You will have a background in Civil Engineering projects, AutoCAD experience and a desire to learn. Understanding of Health & Safety, good communication skills, team worker and be proficient in the use of IT packages. You will learn from experienced Civil Engineers how to design carriageway and footway improvements and see the work you are doing being built on site.
You will be of HNC level or equivalent calibre and ideally with a civil engineering or transportation background.
You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act – for the effective performance of a customer-facing role).
