Make a difference for our most vulnerable adults at this critical time

Swindon Borough Council has various opportunities for you to join us at Fessey House, a residential care home providing practical, emotional and physical support for older people living with dementia and Rehab for service users residents in the Discharge to assess units. These are varied roles within a friendly supportive team.

We are looking for exceptional individuals to assist us in the provision of excellent services to a vulnerable adult. You will provide support to maintain our service users’ skills. We endeavour to maximise independence and maintain a high quality of life.

Ideally you will have experience of caring for vulnerable older people in the community or a care home environment.

We currently have vacancies for Care Assistants and Community Support Workers, various shifts covering days and nights, earlies, lates and alternate weekend working.

In return you will receive a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including pension and discounts at major retailers.

You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act - for the effective performance of a customer-facing role).

N.B. This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.

As part of the COVID19 strategy this role will be subject to regular covid19 testing, as per the guidance set out by the Department of Health and Social Care.

To apply send your CV and a supporting statement which outlines your suitability for the role to resourcing@swindon.gov.uk
