We have a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished leader to join the team in Swindon, to take our Children’s Services improvement journey to the next level.

Achieving our vision in Swindon of ‘one children’s service, consistently good every day and onwards to outstanding’ requires outstanding leadership. We have a strong foundation for you to build on, following significant investment in Children’s Services that has supported significant improvement.

Our hard work was endorsed by Ofsted Good rating for our Children’s Services July 2019. We now need a talented Director: Children’s Social Work to ensure we build on this momentum, leading and managing the next phase of our improvement journey. You will bring a track record of delivering and sustaining the highest quality safeguarding, protection, care and provision for vulnerable children.

The role requires a standout candidate with strong experience and expertise in actively listening to the voice of children, young people and parents/carers and putting this at the heart of service priorities and delivery.

Able to cut through to what matters, you will be highly skilled and effective in bringing together teams, partners and resources to drive service improvements that improve the lives of children and young people.
